Deadline: 31-Dec-2025
The City of Onkaparinga is inviting applications for its Quick Response Community Grant Program. This grant supports community organisations and eligible individuals in promoting social inclusion, community connection, and participation.
There are two types of grants available. Small projects grants fund community activities that strengthen connections and promote sustainability. This includes assistance for local artists with ongoing creative practices. Learning and leadership grants are intended to support volunteer-led organisations in developing the skills needed to achieve community goals.
Funding for small projects ranges from $250 to $2,000, while learning and leadership grants range from $100 to $750. The program will remain open until all funds are distributed.
Eligible applicants include not-for-profit organisations, charitable bodies, schools (for non-curriculum, community-benefit activities), unincorporated community groups or sole traders in creative fields residing in Onkaparinga, accredited social enterprises, and Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander corporations.
Applications are ineligible if they seek reimbursement for already spent funds, support government responsibilities, involve capital works or building maintenance, request ongoing staff salaries, or promote political or religious activities. Proposals that pollute or promote gambling, or come from council employees or those in unresolved disputes with the council, are also excluded.
For small project grants, applications must demonstrate a benefit to people within the City of Onkaparinga and meet at least one funding priority. For learning and leadership grants, the applicant must be a local not-for-profit group, and the proposed learning should align with their goals and the city’s Community Vision 2034.
