Deadline: 17-May-2026
The Responsive Project Grants support not-for-profit groups in delivering small, community-led projects and initiatives that are open to the wider Greater Dandenong community. These grants aim to encourage inclusive and responsive community engagement.
Funding of up to $1,500 is available. Eligible groups can apply to hold community forums, information sessions, or training programs. They can also run events or celebrations that promote inclusion and engagement or organise activities that boost participation in sports, the arts, environmental, or civic life.
Grant funds may cover costs such as venue hire, refreshments, transport, or other project-related expenses. Activities must be held in Greater Dandenong and must benefit local residents.
To be eligible, the organisation must be a legal entity such as an incorporated association, co-operative, company limited by guarantee, or trust. Applications must be submitted within three months of the activity date. The group must also have an appropriate level of public liability insurance, a bank account in its name, and have complied with any previous Council grant conditions.
Applications are not eligible if the group has already received a grant from the Small Grants Program in the current financial year. Funding cannot be used for electronic office equipment, staff salaries, or payments to group members.
