Are you looking for funding to support a project that transforms communities and changes lives? The Sandals Foundation Funding Program is now open for applications.
They focus on initiatives that build local capacity and promote sustainable development. Key areas include education, such as school infrastructure, teacher training, digital literacy, and scholarships. Environmental projects focus on biodiversity protection, marine conservation, environmental education, and coral restoration.
Community development and health efforts include youth engagement, sports, culture, and mental and physical health. Economic empowerment covers skills training for artisans, farmers, and fisherfolk, as well as social enterprise development. Disaster preparedness and relief efforts focus on crisis support and leadership building.
Grants range from US$5,000 to US$80,000, depending on the project scope and sustainability. Projects must take place within the Caribbean islands where Sandals & Beaches Resorts operate, including Jamaica, Bahamas, Barbados, Grenada, Saint Lucia, Antigua, Curacao, Turks & Caicos, and St. Vincent & the Grenadines. Support may also extend to neighboring islands during times of crisis, such as disaster relief.
Eligible projects must be based in Caribbean locations served by Sandals & Beaches Resorts. They should align clearly with the foundation’s strategic focus areas and demonstrate strong governance, transparency, and sound financial management. Projects must include a sustainable model with clear, measurable outcomes and long-term benefits for the community. Inclusion, accessibility, non-discrimination, equity, gender parity, and environmental justice are also essential. Community support, including government or authority approvals if required, is necessary.
The foundation does not fund political, partisan, fraternal, labor, or purely religious activities. Individual grants are only considered for scholarships or hardship cases. For-profit enterprises are not funded unless structured as social enterprises. Government entities and activities outside the Caribbean are also ineligible.
