Deadline: 31-Dec-2025
Uttlesford District Council is inviting applications for its Community Development Grant Schemes, aimed at fostering local pride and improving life opportunities across the UK. The initiative supports investments in communities, local businesses, people, and skills.
The grant schemes are designed to align with the council’s Corporate Plan 2023–2027, particularly its goals to build stronger communities and protect and enhance the local environment.
Funding can be used for various items, such as venue hire, basic equipment like soup kettles, tea urns, highchairs, or exercise gear, as well as marketing and promotional activities.
However, the grant cannot be used to cover staff wages or to fund existing activities that are not significantly expanded or enhanced.
For the 2025/26 financial year, Uttlesford District Council has been allocated £327,146, with £84,400 specifically set aside for this grant scheme. Individual grants of up to £1,000 are available to support or launch initiatives that bring people together, reduce social isolation, and promote health and wellbeing.
Applications will be assessed based on how well they meet the criteria outlined in the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) Prospectus. Reviewers will also consider the alignment with UKSPF objectives, the ability to deliver measurable outcomes, and how closely proposals align with the council’s Corporate Plan 2023–2027.
