Deadline: 30-Sep-2025
The Englehart & Area Community Fund is offering financial support to local organizations and projects that serve the Central Temiskaming region.
This includes the area north of Armstrong Township and south of Chamberlain Township, along with neighbouring communities. Grants of up to $3,000 are available to help initiatives that strengthen community life and provide meaningful benefits to residents.
To qualify, applicants must either be a registered charity with the Canada Revenue Agency or a non-profit organization, municipal government, First Nation, or government agency carrying out work aligned with the Foundation’s charitable purposes. Eligible projects may focus on social services, arts and culture, education, healthcare, sports and recreation, or other community-based charitable activities. Programs must be delivered within Englehart and the surrounding townships of Savard, Chamberlain, Marer, Bayly, Mulligan, Robillard, Charlton & Dack, Evanturel, Ingram (Tomstown), and Pense. Organizations must also be in good standing with reporting requirements from any previous grants.
When reviewing applications, the Advisory Committee will prioritize projects that make Englehart and its surrounding communities better places to live. Special consideration will go to those that provide broad benefits, ensure services are available without discrimination, and remove barriers to participation. Projects should have a strong financial plan, be achievable within twelve months, and not depend on receiving funding year after year.
By supporting locally driven initiatives, the Englehart & Area Community Fund plays a vital role in improving quality of life, expanding access to services, and fostering community spirit across the District of Timiskaming.
