Deadline: 21-Oct-2025
The Foundation for Civil Society (FCS) has announced the opening of its Call for Concept Notes for Match Funding 2025, inviting eligible civil society organizations (CSOs) to apply for grants designed to strengthen their fundraising and project implementation capacities.
This opportunity aims to support organizations that have demonstrated commitment to sustainability and local resource mobilization through FCS’s training initiatives.
Under the Match Funding 2025 scheme, successful applicants will be required to contribute at least 50% of the total project cost, which can be provided either in cash or in-kind contributions. This co-funding approach is intended to encourage shared ownership, accountability, and long-term sustainability of funded initiatives, ensuring that participating organizations remain active stakeholders in their own development efforts.
The grants, valued at up to 5,000,000, will help CSOs implement projects that promote community-driven development, local fundraising, and social impact initiatives aligned with their organizational missions.
Eligibility for this call is limited to organizations that have successfully completed Local Fundraising (LFR) and Mobilising Support (MS) training conducted by FCS. Priority consideration will be given to CSOs from the 2023 and 2024 training cohorts, recognizing their recent capacity-building achievements and readiness to apply practical fundraising and mobilization skills in real-world project implementation.
Through this Match Funding program, FCS continues its commitment to empowering local organizations to become self-reliant, innovative, and community-focused partners in advancing social change and development across Tanzania.
