Deadline: 31-Jul-22
Proposals are now invited to Good in your Hood 2022 that are looking for local groups all around Aotearoa, helping people in need or the environment, to receive a share of $1 million.
Z is for New Zealand, so it just makes sense to support the things that matter in their local communities. That’s why they created Good in the Hood.
Funding Information
- Every Z service station is giving away a total of $5,000 as part of Good in the Hood.
- $4,000 will be distributed amongst four neighbourhood groups or projects who successfully apply to be part of Good in the Hood
- The remaining $1,000 will be used by local retailers throughout the year to support other neighbourhood events
Eligibility Criteria
- Applications must meet all the following criteria:
- The group or project must be active in the local area around a specific Z service station; and
- The group or project must demonstrate they are providing support or help to people who need it or the environment; and
- The request must be for a specific project or to fulfil a specific need.
- The person submitting the application must be from the neighbourhood group or project on whose behalf they apply for funding.
- Applications from the following groups and projects won’t be eligible:
- groups or projects which don’t actively help people who need it or the environment
- nationwide organisations which don’t have a branch in the neighbourhood around the station they’re applying for funding from
- applications for the promotion or benefit of one individual
- commercial ventures
- completed or retrospective projects:
- local or central government activities or projects
- festivals, shows or events.
Selection Criteria
- The decision about which groups to support is made by Z retailers and site staff.
- After each site selects its 4 groups, a panel at the Z office in Wellington will review the applications of the groups chosen by the retailers and site staff to check that the groups meet the eligibility criteria. If any of the chosen groups do not meet the eligibility criteria, the site will choose a replacement group(s).
- Z Energy reserves the right to:
- request further information about an applicant’s eligibility in the event that there is any doubt regarding its eligibility for Good in the Hood, and/or
- to disqualify any applicant who tampers with the application and/or voting process or who submits false or misleading information as part of its application; or
- to withdraw selection prior to payment if the applicant’s eligibility for Good in the Hood is in doubt or if the applicant is conducting itself in a manner which is inconsistent with the intent of Good in the Hood.
- to disqualify any applicant for any other reason which Z deems appropriate.
