The Levi Lassen Foundation offers annual grants to support NGOs dedicated to advancing Ethiopian-Israeli women and men, as well as organizations in Israel with Dutch affiliations.
The Foundation focuses on supporting NGOs that advance Ethiopian-Israeli women and men (ages 15–30), or specific projects that advance Ethiopian women and men (ages 15–30). Levi Lassen also supports NGOs in Israel with a Dutch affiliation, with an emphasis on organizations that assist and care for elderly immigrants from Holland.
Grants provided by the Foundation are up to 15,000 Euros per year and are awarded for a one-year period. Grantees have the opportunity to apply for renewal funding, allowing continued support for impactful projects that contribute to empowerment, social inclusion, and well-being within target communities.
Eligible applicants include organizations officially registered as non-profits in Israel such as amutot, community interest companies, and charities that possess valid authorization of non-profit status, a proper management certificate (nihul takin), and certification from tax and VAT authorities. Start-up NGOs are not required to have a nihul takin to qualify for application. Preference is given to established organizations that have demonstrated success in their work.
All funded projects must be implemented within Israel, excluding the occupied territories. Through this initiative, the Levi Lassen Foundation continues to promote equal opportunities, integration, and social cohesion, fostering progress for Ethiopian-Israeli communities and preserving cultural ties with the Dutch heritage in Israel.
