Deadline: 29-Sep-2025
The Wild Wonder Micro Grant Program is now inviting creative and inspiring applications from individuals around the world who are passionate about sharing nature through the art of nature journaling.
Rooted in curiosity, science, art, and community, the program offers small but meaningful grants—typically between $250 and $1,000 USD—to support innovative ideas that bring nature journaling to new and underserved audience.
Designed with accessibility and inclusivity in mind, the program especially encourages projects that empower educators through training initiatives. Winning proposals might include hosting nature journaling workshops, launching or supporting clubs, developing educational materials or websites, building outreach events, or even creating new publications. The emphasis is on amplifying the reach of nature journaling by equipping more people with the confidence and tools to explore nature creatively.
Each year, around 20 micro grants are awarded. Winners are announced on November 3, after which grant recipients receive half of the funds immediately and the remaining half upon successful completion and reporting. Projects must be completed within six months of receiving the grant.
This initiative serves as a vibrant opportunity to grow the nature journaling movement globally—whether by empowering a classroom of students in rural communities, nurturing a new club in underserved areas, or crafting inspiring materials that bring nature’s wonders to life. Whether you’re a teacher, artist, environmental educator, or community advocate, the Wild Wonder Micro Grant offers tangible support to help your nature-focused vision take root.
