The Victorian Multicultural Commission is accepting nominations for the Justice Award to recognise people and organisations. that promote or improve access for multicultural communities to the justice system, support or advocate for multicultural communities to address systemic issues within the justice system or promote diversity and inclusion in the legal sector.
Eligibility Criteria
- Individuals, community groups, and organisations.
- Multiple organisations working together are also eligible.
- Self-nominations are accepted.
Assessment Criteria
- Delivers or advocates for innovative and responsive approaches to improve access for multicultural communities to the justice system.
- Supports clients from culturally diverse backgrounds and their families to navigate the justice system and improve legal literacy.
- Addresses systemic issues within the justice system affecting Victorians from culturally diverse backgrounds.
- Develops innovative practices that promote and support diversity and inclusion in the workplace or broader legal sector.
What do I need to make a nomination?
- you will be asked 4 questions to support your nomination
- all nominations must include contact information for 2 referees. Note: referees are compulsory
- you may attach up to 5 additional materials to support your nomination, for example news articles, videos or referee statements
