The Alexandrina Council is accepting applications for its Youth Sponsorship Program to support and encourage young people displaying commitment, passion and determination to undertake skill development activities in their chosen field of endeavour.
Alexandrina Council recognises the positive contribution young people make to community life and the importance of providing opportunities for personal growth and capacity building.
Funding Information
- Grants for eligible individuals will be up to a maximum of:
- Intrastate event $100 ($400 group maximum)
- Interstate event $200 ($800 group maximum)
- International event $300 ($1200 group maximum)
What activities will be funded?
- Funding is offered to support activities in the following four categories:
- Arts, Culture, Music & Dance
- Sport & Recreation
- Community Participation and Leadership
- Education & Academic Performance.
- Eligible activities include:
- Events or workshops that develop personal or professional skills and experience
- Regional, national or international level competitions
- Leadership programs or conferences.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Be a permanent, full time resident of the Alexandrina Council area
- Be aged 12-25 years at the time of application
- Be able to provide confirmation from an appropriate peak body, association or organisation confirming the applicant’s status as a competing member, representative or participant.
