Deadline: 12-Aug-2025
The City of Sydney is inviting applications for its Festivals and Events Sponsorship Program, which supports local festivals and events that engage, celebrate, and develop the city’s diverse communities. These events may create platforms for knowledge sharing, cultural celebration, and community participation, while also activating local areas with creative and inclusive programming.
Events supported under the program can be one-off, annual, or a series of recurring events scheduled over a specific timeframe. The funding available is up to $50,000 per year, which can be granted for a single year or extended for up to three years.
Priority will be given to events that celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, enhance social inclusion and reduce isolation, support the visitor economy, reflect the city’s cultural and social diversity, and bring creative activity to local precincts.
Funding is not available for general operational or core business costs, venue fees for landmark locations, or value-in-kind support for outdoor venues.
Applicants must be based in or deliver significant benefits to the City of Sydney’s local area. Eligible applicants include not-for-profit organizations, incorporated associations, corporations, sole traders, cooperatives, trustees, business advocacy groups, unincorporated community groups (if auspiced), and government entities.
