Deadline: 31-Mar-22
The Islamic Bank for Development (IsDB), the Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development (ISFD) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) are inviting applications for the selection of a local structure/organization for the establishment of a partnership with a view to setting up a crowdfunding academy to benefit of CSOs and NGOs.
Objectives
- The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), the Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development (ISFD) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) recognize the important role of civil society organizations (CSOs), including non-governmental organizations (NGOs), as valuable development partners that help promote citizen participation, build sustainability and reduce poverty to accelerate progress towards the SDGs.
- Access to funding remains one of the main challenges for CSOs and NGOs. This obstacle is largely related to the lack of information on the different funding mechanisms, the low quality of CSO projects and campaigns with potential donors. This project aims to help them explore alternative financing models such as participatory financing or “crowdfunding” and to strengthen their ability to raise funds for their activities and projects.
- In order to support their activities, these ToRs have been established with the main objective of creating a Crowdfunding Academy (CFA) bringing together valuable partners to build an ecosystem. The crowdfunding academy will organize a crowdfunding workshop for CSOs in connection with the Digital Tadamon Crowdfunding Academy. 20 to 25 CSOs and NGOs will be identified to take part in the training.
