Deadline: 30-Jul-2025
The Royal Society for Protection of Nature, in partnership with the Bhutan National Commission for UNESCO under the Ministry of Education and Skills Development, is inviting applications for the 2025 Small Study Grants Program.
This initiative provides financial support to selected schools across Bhutan to carry out field-based studies, engage local communities, and implement practical climate action projects.
The grant focuses on empowering schools with UNESCO Clubs, ASPnet Schools, or Nature Clubs to develop innovative solutions for local environmental challenges.
Students are encouraged to identify urgent environmental issues in their communities, document the impacts on biodiversity and climate, conduct biodiversity surveys involving both students and stakeholders, and propose nature-positive solutions using STEM approaches.
The program’s theme is ‘Enhancing Climate and Biodiversity Knowledge in Bhutan’s Schools to Promote Sustainability’.
Each selected school can receive a grant of Nu. 30,000 to support their project activities.
Eligible applicants are schools with an active UNESCO Club, those affiliated with ASPnet, or schools with a registered Nature Club.
