The World Food Programme has launched ‘Engaging Youth Smallholder Farmers through Agri-Tech for Improved Food Security and Value Chains’ project.
This project has three main outputs: building the skills and knowledge of youth through trainings, establishing better learning environment at district level, and enhanced market access to improve their livelihoods, and promoting social inclusion, particularly for those often left behind in digital development. Through this call for proposal, WFP seeks local, national, and international non-governmental organizations (I/NGOs) with the presence and capacity to collaborate with on the design, planning, and implementation of the several components of the project.

Expected Results
- This project is expected to enhance the capacities of 10,000 young smallholder farmers by equipping them with technical knowledge and business skills through training across five core topics. Community-based learning sites will be established in targeted districts to serve as local hubs for digital and climate-smart agriculture. Youth farmers will gain improved access to markets and digital services, while selected participants will receive grant support to develop agribusinesses, contributing to food security and inclusive value chain.
