Nominations for the 2023 National Lottery Awards are now open to celebrate the inspirational people and projects who do extraordinary things with the help of National Lottery funding.
In challenging times, you often see the very best in people, which is why the 2023 National Lottery Awards will celebrate a remarkable individual with a Special Achievement Award. All individual nominations will be considered for this award, as they look to honour somebody who has gone the extra mile to make the lives of other people that little bit better.
Nominations must be funded by The National Lottery or be associated with a project which has received National Lottery funding.
Categories
They are looking for individual heroes in the following categories:
- Community & Charity
- Arts, Culture & Film
- Heritage
- Sport
- Environment
- Young Hero (under 25s)
Prize Information
- All individual winners and the National Lottery Project of the Year will receive a trophy and a £5,000 cash prize for their project.
Eligibility Criteria
- The National Lottery are also searching for outstanding projects around the UK who are working to make a positive impact in their local communities. A total of 16 projects from across the UK will be shortlisted to take part in a public vote later in the year, to be crowned National Lottery Project of the Year. National Lottery funded projects from any sector are eligible to enter The National Lottery Project of the Year category.
- Winners of the individual categories will be decided by their judging panel, made up of members from The National Lottery family and partners.
