Deadline: 28-Aug-2025
The Culture for Development project has opened a call for proposals under its Job Shadowing Scheme. This initiative is designed to support capacity-building among cultural and artistic professionals and organizations in the Republic of North Macedonia through structured knowledge transfer. The program promotes peer-to-peer learning by offering practical, hands-on training experiences.
The main objective is to enhance the skills of participants by immersing them in real work environments. This helps deepen their understanding of the cultural sector and encourages future collaborations. The program allows professionals to either gain experience or share expertise through two implementation models.
One model follows an internship format, targeting less experienced cultural workers who gain insight from host organizations. The other model focuses on hosting an expert whose presence benefits the hosting organization by improving its quality of work and effectiveness through direct knowledge exchange.
Funding for each project can go up to 178,500 MKD, and the job shadowing exchange can last up to four weeks. Activities eligible for funding include co-creation of cultural or artistic works with educational value, professional development opportunities like peer exchange and workshops, networking, and research initiatives that support future collaborations.
Applications are open to cultural and artistic organizations, artistic collectives, civil society groups with cultural programming, and other legal entities involved in arts and culture, including foundations, companies, or entrepreneurs. All applicants must be legally registered in North Macedonia and have experience in managing cultural projects.
Organizations or individuals promoting discriminatory, radical, or extremist views are ineligible. Others excluded include unregistered entities, those with unpaid taxes, political or religious groups, individuals, state-founded cultural institutions, and foreign organization branches in North Macedonia.
