The SBI Foundation is inviting proposals for its Community Based Sustainable Entrepreneurship Program. This initiative aims to support innovative and inclusive projects that promote sustainable livelihoods at the grassroots level.
Proposals should have a budget ranging from ₹50 lakhs to ₹5 crores, with a support period of one to three years starting in the current financial year. All submissions must be made in English.
Eligible organizations must have at least three years of experience in implementing community-based sustainable entrepreneurship projects. They should also have a strong track record in establishing and scaling microenterprises focused on eco-products, traditional artisan crafts, or natural food production.
Applicants must demonstrate a minimum of three years of experience in engaging rural and marginalized communities, especially women and indigenous groups. This includes capacity building, inclusive training, and forming member-based institutions such as self-help groups, cooperatives, or producer collectives to manage and scale microenterprises.
Organizations must also have at least three years of sector-specific experience in one or more of the following areas: eco-friendly product development and certifications, preservation and promotion of traditional crafts, or sustainable agriculture and organic food production.
In addition, applicants should have a proven ability to develop and strengthen value chains, particularly in sectors like eco-products, artisan crafts, handicrafts, or natural food items.
