Deadline: 15-Aug-2025
MeCAHT—Media Coalition and Awareness to Halt Trafficking, under the “Migration and Mobility Dialogue (MMD III)” programme funded by the European Union and ICMPD, is inviting applications from one NGO in Ethiopia to join a capacity-building programme on social media campaigning. The selected organization will design and implement a tailored social media campaign addressing irregular migration, while receiving continuous support and coaching throughout the campaign.
Chosen NGOs will serve as “Neighbor Partners” to help address the risks of irregular migration through evidence-based, locally led communication. The programme’s goals are to empower local NGOs to create effective and engaging campaigns, strengthen their capacity for digital outreach, and support communities—especially youth and vulnerable groups—in making informed migration decisions.
The selected NGO will participate in online training on strategic communication, digital campaigning, and ethical engagement, including child protection and monitoring & evaluation. They will develop and run a localized campaign with defined reach and engagement targets, submit periodic updates, and present a final report with results and lessons learned. Campaign content will be reviewed and approved by Seefar, the consortium lead, and supported by a dedicated Point of Contact.
Training will cover strategic communications planning, audience targeting, content creation, campaign types such as A/B testing and dynamic ads, social media monitoring, and responsible storytelling. Ongoing mentorship will be provided during the campaign’s development and rollout.
The selected NGO will receive a subcontract worth 5000 EUR, following EU and ICMPD guidelines. The campaign will run from October 2025 to March 2026, with training scheduled for 23 and 24 September 2025.
Applicants must be registered in Ethiopia, have experience in social media campaigning, youth engagement, and migration-related communications, and possess the infrastructure to produce digital content. Four staff members must attend the training and participate in reporting. NGOs will collect engagement metrics, monitor campaign performance using provided templates, and submit a final report with an activity overview, results, and at least one case study or impact story.
