Deadline: 31-Aug-2025
The Northern California Peace Corps Association (NorCalPCA) Grants Program offers funding for community development projects worldwide. These grants are designed to support initiatives that reflect the values and mission of the Peace Corps, promoting global engagement and positive impact.
NorCalPCA welcomes both international and domestic project proposals that serve a variety of communities. Applicants must demonstrate strong commitment through contributions such as community labor, local resources, training, or financial support.
The program supports full project costs, start-up expenses, or the expansion of successful models. Grant amounts typically range from $1,000 to $5,000, depending on the proposal and available funds.
Priority is given to proposals from Returned Peace Corps Volunteers and current Peace Corps Volunteers based in Northern California. Funding will go directly toward identified project needs, not for scholarships or general organizational expenses.
Proposals are assessed based on criteria such as technical and economic feasibility, potential to improve community welfare, inclusive benefit to all participants, and responsiveness to local needs. Projects should also promote the transfer of skills, environmental sustainability, self-reliance, and social and gender equity.
