Deadline: 14-Sep-2025
The World Wide Fund for Nature Nepal seeks the services of a consultant to create two animated videos (one 2–3 minutes and another 5 minutes) on “Capacity Building Initiative for Transparency (CBIT) and the Enhanced Transparency Framework (ETF) in Nepal.”
The CBIT project in Nepal focuses on enhancing institutional capacity, improving data management systems, and developing technical expertise. These efforts will enable the country to prepare and submit critical documents such as the Biennial Transparency Report (BTR), Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), and other climate-related reporting requirements. By doing so, Nepal not only strengthens its climate governance but also demonstrates accountability in its pursuit of sustainable development and climate resilience.
To make these technical concepts more accessible, Nepal is producing animated explainer videos that will communicate the role of CBIT and ETF in a simplified and engaging manner. These videos will serve as tools to raise awareness among policymakers, stakeholders, and the general public, while highlighting Nepal’s progress and the importance of transparency in achieving climate goals.
The scope of work for the video production has been carefully planned. The process will begin with pre-production, including consultation with the Ministry of Forests and Environment (MoFE) and the CBIT project team to align on expectations, develop a concept note, and prepare a storyboard. During production, scripts will be prepared in both English and Nepali to ensure accessibility for experts and non-experts alike. Graphics, animations, and voiceovers will reflect Nepal’s context and climate priorities, complemented by suitable background music and subtitles.
Post-production will involve review and feedback from WWF Nepal, followed by submission of the final versions of the videos along with all supporting materials, including editable files, graphics, and audio. The completed animated videos are expected to be delivered by December 2025.
Through these efforts, Nepal is not only strengthening its capacity to meet international reporting requirements but also ensuring that its climate transparency journey is communicated widely and effectively. The CBIT initiative thus plays a vital role in connecting policy, practice, and public understanding in the fight against climate change.
