Deadline: 30-Sep-2025
The Glencore is now requesting applications for its Rolleston/Springsure Community Health Funding.
Australia’s largest coal producer, with mining complexes spread across New South Wales and Queensland, Glencore recognises the importance of investing in the regions where its employees and their families live and work.
This funding round is specifically aimed at supporting a community project within one of Glencore’s operational areas in Queensland, which include Glenden, Collinsville/Scottville, Tieri/Capella, Springsure/Rolleston, Nebo/Pioneer Valley, Wandoan/Taroom, and Clermont. The focus remains on activities that generate long-term social and economic benefits, especially those that demonstrate clear value to the wider community.
Applicants may request up to $10,000 in funding, either for a single significant project or several smaller initiatives that together reach the funding cap. The funding can be in the form of financial support or in-kind contributions, and all applications must clearly show how the proposed project will deliver direct benefits to the local area.
To be eligible, applicants must be not-for-profit, incorporated organisations with a dedicated bank account and transparent financial practices. Projects must address a verified need within the community, involve broad community participation, and demonstrate strong planning, including clearly defined objectives and timeframes. Glencore is particularly interested in projects that are sustainable and not dependent on long-term external funding.
Community groups considering applying should ensure their proposal aligns with these guidelines and is submitted within the designated funding period. With a focus on lasting impact and local engagement, Glencore’s Community Investment Program provides a valuable opportunity to bring positive change to Queensland communities.
