The Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas (CFSEK) has announced the 2020 General Funds.
The CFSEK general fund provides grants for nonprofit programs and services for basic human needs and youth health and well-being.
The Community Foundation’s mission is to serve the region by encouraging charitable giving benefiting the common good and the quality of life. They inspire leadership with programming that is responsive to the interests and needs of those they serve now and in the future.
In pursuit of that mission, CFSEK offers grants to help nonprofit organizations addressing a wide range of needs in Southeast Kansas communities.
Funding Information
For 2020, CFSEK is offering a total of $140,000 through General Funds grants. $86,000 will be available for youth programs focusing on the health and well-being of children and youth, and $54,000 will be avaialable for programs addressing basic human needs.
In awarding General Funds grants for 2020, CFSEK will take into consideration projects addressing needs caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Foundation will not fund
- Ongoing operating expenses/salaries/stipends
- Mileage reimbursement or travel costs
- Building /construction projects
- Religious activities unless the project serves the general public regardless of religious affiliation
- Political activities
Eligibility Criteria
CFSEK General Funds grants are only available for 501(c)(3) organizations, educational institutions, units of government, and religious organizations. If you’re uncertain whether your group or organization is eligible for a grant.
