Deadline: 16-Sep-2025
The City of Clarence is inviting applications for its Community Grant Program to support projects that directly benefit the Clarence community. The focus is on promoting participation, inclusion, wellbeing, connection, resilience, and community capacity.
There are two funding levels available. Level 1 provides up to $5,000, while Level 2 offers funding between $5,000 and $10,000, excluding GST. The funding is intended to support community-driven events, activities, and projects that align with the program’s core goals of strengthening community engagement and wellbeing.
Eligible activities include community events, new components added to existing projects, and the purchase of new equipment for events (excluding consumables, prizes, uniforms, and replacements). The program also supports capacity-building efforts such as workshops, first aid training, and other relevant community education activities.
Some activities are not eligible for funding. These include infrastructure or fixtures, projects that already receive support from Clarence City Council, commercial ventures, regular operating costs, events that have already started, and activities primarily for fundraising or personal gain. Prize money, uniforms, trophies, and items with potential conflicts with council objectives are also excluded.
Eligible applicants must be community or resident groups, incorporated or not-for-profit associations, registered charities, or organizations applying through an auspice body. Applications must be fully completed, submitted within the open period, and signed by an authorized representative.
Projects must take place within the Clarence municipality or show a clear benefit to the area. Applicants can submit only one application per grant round and must not have any outstanding obligations from previous grants. Activities involving minors will be assessed under the Child and Youth Safe Framework.
Applicants must also have appropriate insurance and risk management measures. Ineligible applicants include government agencies, political organizations, groups with gaming machines, and current council employees or councilors unless properly declared and assessed for conflicts of interest.
