The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has introduced a new digital initiative—the Senior Citizen Portal. This platform is designed to offer senior citizens easy access to welfare schemes, services, and mechanisms for addressing grievances, all in one place.
The initiative aims to raise awareness about the portal, inspire public creativity to promote the message of “Ageing with Dignity,” and involve communities in creating inclusive branding that represents the values of elder care.
The key themes of the contest include “Ageing at Home,” “Intergenerational Bonding,” and creating a “Senior Citizen Friendly Society.”
To encourage participation, the Ministry is offering cash prizes. The first prize is ₹15,000, the second prize is ₹10,000, and the third prize is ₹5,000. All winners will also receive a Certificate of Appreciation from the Ministry.
The contest is open to all Indian citizens, making it an inclusive opportunity for creative contributions from across the country.
Participants are required to submit a logo that visually reflects themes of care, dignity, and inclusivity for ageing individuals. The logo should be suitable for both digital and print use.
Technical guidelines specify that the logo must be submitted in high-resolution PNG or JPEG formats, with AI or SVG formats preferred. Submissions can be made in either English or Hindi.
