Deadline: 30-Sep-2025
The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Cairo has announced its annual call for Small Scale Development Projects for 2026, offering a meaningful opportunity for local entities to drive lasting change.
Small Scale Projects support is one of the instruments of the development cooperation of the Czech Republic. SSP present a valuable contribution to the local development cause in conformity with the beneficiary country’s development aims.
The embassy invites proposals for development projects that address critical social and intersectoral issues related to Agenda 2030. Building on previous projects, they welcome initiatives aimed at supporting empowerment of underprivileged society groups and communities. The projects should be sustainable, reflecting the commitment to fostering enduring, positive change in both lives and surroundings of affected individuals.
Eligible applicants include locally registered entities capable of entering into contracts under Czech law. The funding ranges between 200,000 and 500,000 Czech crowns—roughly amounting to several thousand euros—enabling the deployment of expertise while capping associated costs like salaries, travel, and allowances at no more than one quarter of the total budget.
Although administrative costs are excluded from the grant, the arrangement ensures that funding remains focused on field‑level development. Projects must conclude by the end of October 2026, with financial accounting and tangible proof of impact—including visuals—submitted by the implementing organization within a month thereafter.
Applicants must submit formal documents establishing their legitimacy and authority, along with a completed identification form in both editable and scanned formats, either in English or Czech. Final proposals must be sent electronically to the embassy in Cairo by the end of September 2025 using the specified email contact.
This opportunity stands out for its support of grassroots development efforts and commitment to long‑term community wellbeing. For organizations aligned with these values, this call offers not only vital funding but a chance to contribute to meaningful, enduring progress in their communities.
