Deadline: 30-Sep-2025
The Ionian Environment Foundation (IEF) has announced a new call for proposals aimed at supporting local conservation initiatives in the Ionian Region that protect natural ecosystems and promote sustainable development.
Marine Conservation, Habitat and Biodiversity Protection, Resource Management and Sustainable Development, Civil Society and Capacity Building.
Established in 2019, the IEF operates on a bottom-up approach that empowers local communities to lead environmental initiatives that directly address regional challenges. This call for proposals invites grassroots organizations and local actors to submit project ideas that align with the foundation’s mission to safeguard and regenerate the environment through targeted conservation and sustainability efforts.
Eligible proposals may include local environmental actions, research-based projects, educational initiatives, and public awareness campaigns. The selected projects must demonstrate clear goals, long-term sustainability, and community engagement. Successful applicants will receive financial support and benefit from IEF’s expertise, network, and hands-on support mechanisms.
Applications will be accepted from August 1 to September 30, 2025. The foundation’s Steering Committee will evaluate the submissions, and results will be announced between October and November 2025. Each selected project will commence upon the signing of a grant agreement, with timelines tailored to the specifics of each initiative.
The maximum indicative budget per project is set at €20,000.
