Deadline: 14-Sep-2025
The Grimsby Community Development Grant Program is designed to assist non-profit and charitable organizations. It supports projects and programs that aim to enhance residents’ well-being, align with Council’s Strategic Priorities, and improve the overall quality of life in Grimsby.
Applicants can request up to 30% of eligible project costs, with a funding cap of $100,000.
To be eligible, applicants must be registered charitable organizations or incorporated not-for-profit organizations that have existed for at least two years. They must also be in good standing with the Town of Grimsby, without overdue amounts or incomplete reporting on previous grants. A volunteer board of directors and a constitution or governing by-law following best practices are required.
Strong governance and ethical practices are encouraged. This includes clear rules on board responsibilities, member rights, voting processes, risk management, and accountability frameworks. These best practices help strengthen the overall quality of applications.
The program does not accept applications from individuals, for-profit entities, other government levels, political organizations, lobbying groups, or religious organizations unless their project is inclusive.
