Deadline: 10-Nov-2025
The Lloyd’s Register Foundation is proud to offer its Small Grants Scheme in the UK, designed to support clever, impactful ideas aligned with its mission to engineer a safer world.
This funding call operates under the belief that even small investments can spark significant change, offering organisations that may not typically access large-scale funding a valuable chance to test new concepts, build partnerships, and share knowledge across sectors.
Grants through this scheme can go up to £10,000, helping to make pilot projects, knowledge exchange efforts, and early-stage initiatives possible. Funding is available for ideas that spark collaboration, show potential for future impact, or connect with the Foundation’s Heritage & Education Centre, provided they fit within the scope of its charitable mission.
Projects can last up to 12 months, and consecutive funding is not typical—each application is evaluated on its unique potential. The scheme does not cover costs related to activities outside the Foundation’s core mission, personal benefit for individuals, capital works, education fees, retrospective funding, or lobbying and campaigning.
This Small Grants Scheme presents a wonderful opportunity for community groups, heritage organisations, education providers, and maritime sector innovators to bring creative safety-focused ideas to life. By supporting strategic experimentation and partnership-building, the Foundation continues to make progress toward a safer, more informed world.
