Deadline: 12-Nov-2025
Merton Giving, in partnership with Merton Council, has launched the third annual round of the Civic Pride Small Grants to strengthen the borough’s Voluntary and Community Sector.
This initiative aims to empower small community and voluntary groups to provide vital support to vulnerable adult residents and their families in Merton. The program focuses on helping those affected by emotional or mental health challenges and financial hardship through information, advice, emergency assistance, and local community services that enhance overall well-being.
Funding is available through two distinct pots. Pot One offers grants of up to £2,500 for short-term projects lasting up to six months, prioritizing not-for-profit organizations with an annual turnover under £25,000. Pot Two provides up to £10,000 for longer-term projects running between six months and two years, prioritizing those with an annual turnover under £50,000. In exceptional cases, applications demonstrating strong, measurable outcomes may be considered for slightly higher funding. Only one application per organization will be accepted in this round.
To qualify, organizations must either be based in Merton or have a proven record of delivering services that benefit Merton residents. They must have a management or trustee board consisting of at least three non-related members and demonstrate the experience, training, and knowledge necessary to deliver their proposed project effectively. Local branches of larger organizations must show that they operate independently and specifically support Merton communities.
Eligible applicants include registered charities, charitable incorporated organizations, charitable companies limited by guarantee, unincorporated charitable groups, charitable trusts, community interest companies, and constituted non-registered groups, clubs, or societies. Through the Civic Pride Small Grants, Merton Giving continues its commitment to fostering community resilience, inclusion, and well-being for the people of Merton.
