Deadline: 07-Aug-2025
The Embassy of the United States of America in Paraguay has announced a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to support key U.S. government partners in Paraguay. The goal is to reduce reliance on federal funding and improve program effectiveness by applying modern U.S. best practices in goal setting, data analysis, and project monitoring. This effort is part of the broader America 250 initiative, which commemorates 250 years of U.S. achievements and contributions.
The project will involve training for implementing partners, aiming to equip them with the ability to set SMART goals that align with their project outcomes. It will also strengthen partners’ monitoring and evaluation (M&E) capacity to accurately track project success and support effective decision-making.
A key focus is on enhancing the long-term sustainability of participating organizations by building capacity in organizational development and accountability. The training will also cover financial management and reporting, ensuring compliance with both local and international standards.
Another element of the program is to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States, promoting its legacy and contributions as part of the training initiative.
The proposed training should center around four main areas: program design and SMART goal development, monitoring and evaluation, sustainable development and accountability, and financial reporting in the Paraguayan context.
The total funding available is $65,000, with individual awards ranging from $50,000 to $65,000.
Eligible applicants include not-for-profit organizations, think tanks, civil society organizations, NGOs, and academic institutions based in the U.S. or Paraguay. Individuals may also apply.
