The Administration for Community Living invites applications for the Rehabilitation Research and Training Center (RRTC) on Disability Statistics and Demographics.
Priority
The Administrator of the Administration for Community Living establishes a priority for a Rehabilitation Research and Training Center (RRTC) on Disability Statistics and Demographics. This RRTC must conduct innovative and rigorous research, knowledge translation, training, dissemination, and technical assistance activities to advance the use and usefulness of disability statistics to inform disability policy and the provision of services to people with disabilities. Under this priority, the RRTC must contribute to the following outcomes:
- Improved quality of national disability data and statistics that are relevant to improving community living and participation, employment, and health and function outcomes among people with disabilities.
- New knowledge of the experiences and outcomes of people with disabilities in the U.S., to inform the development of disability policies and programs.
- Improved access to and increased use of disability statistics.
- Improved capacity in the field of disability research to collect and analyze statistical data about the enabling or disabling characteristics of the built and social environments in which people live.

- Length of Project Period: 60-month project period with five 12-month budget periods
Eligibility Criteria
- States; public or private agencies, including for-profit agencies; public or private organizations, including for-profit organizations; IHEs; and Indian tribes and tribal organizations. Foreign entities are not eligible to compete for, or receive, awards made under this announcement. Faith-based and community organizations that meet the eligibility requirements are eligible to receive awards under this funding opportunity announcement.
