The Dubbo Regional Council is seeking applications for Australia Day Awards to promote and recognise outstanding examples of citizenship and achievement.
Australia Day Awards are presented to members of their community who volunteer their time for the benefit of the Local Government Area.

Eligibility Criteria
- Nominations can be made by an individual or organisation.
- Nominees must be Australian citizens.
- The Award cannot be made to a Councillor, State or Federal politician.
- The Award cannot be made to a current employee of Dubbo Regional Council.
- Nominee must reside within Dubbo Regional Council’s boundaries
- A person cannot receive a second Award in the same category.
- The name of at least one referee must be supplied with the nomination.
- Regard will be given to a person’s community activities in the year immediately prior to receipt of the Award, as well as their past community services.
- The nomination should explain the achievements and background of the nominee and the reasons for nomination.
- The decision of the judging committee is final and no correspondence will be entered into relating to the decision.
- All nomination forms and material submitted remains the property of Council.
