The Northwestern Alberta Foundation is inviting grant applications to foster a healthy and vibrant community that values diversity and supports all its members. The foundation is focused on creating a fair, transparent, and impactful grant process that aligns with its mission to improve community well-being.
The foundation encourages initiatives that act as catalysts for positive change, promoting collective action and active community engagement. It supports projects that embrace equity, diversity, and inclusion across urban, rural, and Indigenous communities.
Funding will be directed toward initiatives that demonstrate measurable impact and show potential to significantly improve quality of life. Innovative and creative approaches to solving persistent community challenges are particularly encouraged.
Only registered charities or other qualified donees as defined under the Income Tax Act are eligible to apply for funding. The foundation does not fund sponsorships, sports or club events, individual support, endowment funds, religious activities primarily serving members, or political activities prohibited by the Canada Revenue Agency.
