Deadline: 25-Sep-2025
One Community Foundation is proud to strengthen local civic life in Kirklees through its Community Grants Programme.
Community Interest Companies, sports clubs with community asset protections, and school or PTA groups—offering vital support to grassroots initiatives across the region.
Organisations may apply for grants up to £3,000 to invest in everything from staff costs, equipment, rent, or event expenses to more foundational needs that help keep community projects running and impactful. This financial support spans a range of thematic areas, thanks to funds such as the Stephen Wood Fund, Kirklees Community Fund, and Heckmondwike Funds, all aimed at fostering local resilience.
New applicants—or those who haven’t applied in the past two years—will need to supply their constitution or governing documents, a recent bank statement, and either their latest accounts or a cash flow statement. Returning grantees simply need to confirm there have been no constitutional changes, alongside submitting an updated statement and financial documentation.
However, certain types of projects fall outside the fund’s scope. Applications promoting political or religious activity, replacing statutory funding, retrospective costs, or those primarily focused on animal welfare are not eligible. Projects from organisations under investigation or with serious compliance issues are also excluded to ensure responsible stewardship of funds.
