Deadline: 07-Aug-2025
Nutrien Ag Solutions, in partnership with the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR), is investing in community-focused charitable projects across rural and regional Australia. The aim is to strengthen the wellbeing and success of these communities by funding local grassroots initiatives that support agriculture and community life.
Their commitment extends beyond the farming industry to the communities that sustain it. Through this grant program, they seek to empower not-for-profit organisations working at the heart of rural Australia to implement impactful projects that reflect their local identity and agricultural roots.
The key priorities include building the operational capacity of local organisations, fostering stronger and more resilient communities, and celebrating identity, diversity, and cultural connections. The program also supports inclusive efforts for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, culturally and linguistically diverse groups, individuals with disabilities, and LGBTQIA+ communities.
Other areas of focus include improving community health, wellbeing, skill development, and confidence; strengthening volunteerism; enhancing gathering places; boosting digital access; and supporting initiatives aligned with a community’s social, cultural, or economic goals.
A total funding pool of $250,000 is available, with grants of up to $5,000 per project. Eligible applicants must be not-for-profit organisations with an ABN or Incorporation Certificate, and projects must be charitable and deliver public benefit. The project should serve rural, regional, or remote communities and demonstrate a strong connection to agriculture.
Organisations that received a grant in Round 4 of 2024 are not eligible to apply. Each organisation can only submit one application per round. Applications must include an email of endorsement from a Nutrien Ag Solutions branch manager and complete financial documentation, including quotes for items over $1,000.
Ineligible applications include those from individuals, private businesses, non-legal entities without proper partnership confirmation, or those lacking essential documentation. Projects already underway or completed before the funding announcement are also ineligible, as are applicants with overdue reports from prior FRRR grants.
Incomplete applications will not be considered, and FRRR typically does not follow up for missing documentation due to high application volume.
