Deadline: 28-Jul-2025
Do you have a passion for technology and a desire to use digital tools to create positive change in your community? The UNDP Digital Ambassadors Programme invites you to join a unique initiative designed to build your digital skills and empower you to help others navigate the digital world.
This is your chance to become a Digital Ambassador — a young leader who bridges the digital divide and promotes inclusion in Khobi and Poti. Through this programme, you will gain the knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience to champion digital inclusion, civic engagement, and environmental awareness in your community.
The initiative aims to strengthen the digital competencies of young people and engage them as community multipliers. You’ll empower others to access and benefit from digital platforms, e-services, and innovative technologies for daily life and civic participation.
As a Digital Ambassador, you will raise awareness about digital literacy, increase the use of digital tools and citizen feedback platforms, support community-led environmental monitoring, and help groups with limited digital access and skills in Khobi and Poti.
Selected ambassadors will participate in interactive training and workshops to gain hands-on skills with digital platforms, e-services, and modern tools to boost community engagement. You will apply these skills by mentoring and leading activities that help youth, parents, entrepreneurs, farmers, women, elderly, and vulnerable groups improve their digital literacy, access services, and participate in environmental data collection.
You’ll also engage in real projects such as citizen science activities that collect and monitor environmental and community data. Using a community-led online portal, you’ll upload green data, showcase local actions, facilitate citizen feedback, and involve peers in civic tech for green and digital transformation.
Top-performing Digital Ambassadors will gain access to exclusive opportunities based on their engagement, innovation, and community impact. Rewards include vouchers for online courses or premium digital platform accounts, or a paid 3-month internship with a leading Georgian digital/IT organization, providing practical experience and career growth.
UNDP will cover all costs related to training, materials, and any travel or accommodation needed for programme activities.
They are seeking motivated young people aged 16 to 28 who live in Khobi or Poti and are eager to strengthen their digital skills while acting as changemakers. Ideal candidates will be excited about promoting citizen-led environmental monitoring, data sharing, and civic engagement through digital tools.
Applicants should have prior experience or a strong interest in digital topics like e-services, apps, digital literacy, AI, and communication technologies. They should also have ideas on how to support others — such as students, entrepreneurs, farmers, parents, women, elderly, or vulnerable groups — in adopting and using digital solutions.
Assessment will focus on community outreach, including the number and diversity of people supported; initiative and creativity in applying digital tools to meet community needs; level of contribution to the citizen science platform and feedback systems; and collaboration and leadership in team-based and cross-community efforts.
