The Quilpie Shire Council Australia Day Awards will recognise members of the community who have made an outstanding contribution to the community throughout 2022

The Award categories open for nominations are:
- Citizen of the Year
- Young Citizen of the Year
- Community Group Award
- Certificates of Appreciation
Eligibility Criteria
- All nominees must be a resident of Quilpie Shire
- Awards are for achievements and events in 2022 only.

Citizen of the Year Award
- Nominees must be 16 years of age and over and are required to be residents of Quilpie Shire. Nominations will need to demonstrate the scope of impact the individual’s contribution has on the Quilpie Shire community.

Young Citizen of the Year Award
- Nominees must be 16 years of age and under and are required to be residents of Quilpie Shire. Nominations will need to demonstrate the scope of impact the individual’s contribution has on the Quilpie Shire community.

Community Group of the Year Award
- The award is designed to encourage, acknowledge and reward the valuable contributions individuals and community groups are making throughout Quilpie Shire.

Certificates of Appreciation
- Certificates of Appreciation are awarded to individuals for specific work they have carried out throughout the year. This can be a great way to thank any volunteers in your organisation who have gone and beyond the call of duty.
