Deadline: 05-Sep-2025
The British Embassy in Bishkek has announced the 2025–2026 Kyrgyzstan Small Projects Programme, inviting local organisations to submit project proposals designed to run between October 2025 and March 2026.
This initiative supports grassroots work across a range of focus areas, each aimed at strengthening community engagement and social innovation throughout Kyrgyzstan.
The programme welcomes initiatives that expand inclusive civil dialogue by empowering civil society to engage constructively with public institutions. It also encourages creative economic projects that boost entrepreneurship, skills, and jobs in the creative industries, with a particular emphasis on inclusivity and support for under-represented groups.
Proposals may also address circular economy goals by piloting waste reduction, reuse, and resource efficiency projects that create local value and involve partnerships with community or municipal partners. Another priority area is disability and inclusion, especially initiatives that promote community-based care for persons with disabilities and move away from institutional models.
Each approved project may be funded up to £15,000, and work must begin and conclude within the October–March timeframe. Proposals must set clearly defined objectives, measurable outputs and outcomes, and a detailed activity-based budget denominated in Kygyz sometimes or US dollars, with a pound sterling equivalent.
The email subject should follow the format: “SPP: Project bid and name of your organisation.” Selected applicants will be notified after a competitive review process.
This call presents an excellent opportunity for Kyrgyz civil society actors, creative professionals, and disability-inclusive initiatives to secure support for impactful, community-centred projects that align with national priorities and drive local development.
