Deadline: 20-Aug-2025
UNDP is seeking a firm or service provider to conduct awareness sessions and workshops on Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) and distribute Menstrual Health Kits to about 10,000 students and community members in the Sindh districts of Larkana, Dadu, and Kambar-Shahdadkot.
This initiative is part of the Flood Recovery Programme (FRP), which supports the Government of Sindh in improving education outcomes for flood-affected populations, with a focus on girls. The programme aims to restore disrupted education services, provide safe and inclusive learning environments, and address barriers to girls’ education in affected communities. It also works to strengthen schools’ disaster preparedness and climate resilience to ensure education continuity during crises.
The targeted MHM awareness campaign will reach approximately 40 schools and communities, with around 25 in Larkana, 6 in Dadu, and 9 in Kambar-Shahdadkot. The campaign seeks to raise awareness about menstrual hygiene, reduce stigma, and empower adolescent girls to manage their health with dignity. It addresses challenges such as lack of awareness, inadequate facilities, and social taboos that contribute to health issues and absenteeism among girls.
The selected service provider will work with FRP, national partners, and government authorities to mobilise schools and communities, identify participants, and deliver approved MHM training sessions. They will also distribute Menstrual Health Kits provided by UNDP to all participants.
The assignment will last six months from the signing of the contract, with implementation taking place in Sindh.
