Community and voluntary groups and organisations in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County are invited to apply for partnership projects with Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council under Strand 1 of the Climate Action Fund – Community Climate Action Programme – Building Low Carbon Communities.
The programme focuses on empowering local communities to collaborate with the Council to create and implement initiatives that contribute to a low-carbon and sustainable future.
Eligible applicants must be not-for-profit organisations located within the operational area of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council. They must also be registered with a Public Participation Network (PPN) or be affiliated with other recognised collectives such as The Wheel or Tidy Towns, or be a community group with formal governance structures like Articles of Association or a Constitution, hold an Annual General Meeting (AGM), and have approved minutes available.
The programme specifically excludes private individuals, commercial undertakings, schools, and national-level community or environmental organisations from applying. The initiative aims to foster locally driven climate action projects that enhance community resilience, support environmental awareness, and promote sustainable practices across the county.
