Deadline: 30-Sep-2025
The European Commission (EC) has launched a call for proposals aimed at improving human capital and enhancing the implementation of institutional policy within Ghana’s National Vaccine Institute (NVI).
The main goal of this initiative is to strengthen the NVI’s ability to coordinate and oversee the research, development, production, and distribution of safe, effective, and affordable vaccines and sera across Ghana and the wider African continent. This will be achieved through the support and promotion of Public-Private Partnership arrangements.
The specific objective is to build human resource capacity and improve the institutional framework, making the NVI a well-structured, well-resourced, and efficient organization. This is expected to support Ghana’s long-term ambition of becoming a regional hub for vaccine manufacturing.
The total available funding for the project is EUR 1,200,000. The project must be completed within a maximum of 21 months, which includes 18 months of implementation and 3 months for closure.
Eligibility is restricted to Public Administrations and Mandated Bodies from European Union Member States, in accordance with the EU Twinning Manual. Applications must be submitted through the EU Member States’ National Contact Points.
