Deadline: 10-Oct-2025
The SoilTribes project has launched an open call for lump sum grants to support innovative, cross-sector initiatives that promote soil literacy, engage communities, and protect soil as a vital resource. These grants aim to inspire behavioral change and drive innovation by connecting science, arts, and society.
Applicants can apply under two categories. The first supports the development of new, early-stage, or creative ideas, while the second focuses on improving and scaling up initiatives with proven experience. Projects must address at least one key area, such as communication campaigns to boost soil awareness, creative events and activities that tell soil stories, or citizen engagement initiatives that empower communities through participation and co-creation.
Funding is available in three sizes. Small grants of €25,000 run for six months, medium grants of €50,000 run for nine months, and large grants of €100,000 run for twelve months. The scope, ambition, and needs of each project will determine the appropriate grant size.
The call is open to public and private legal entities based in EU Member States, their Overseas Countries and Territories, and Horizon Europe Associated Countries. Eligible applicants include creative and cultural organizations, non-profits, public authorities, international organizations, NGOs, universities, educational institutions, research centers, think tanks, startups, and SMEs.
For small projects, applications may be submitted by a single organization or a consortium of at least two applicants. For medium and large projects, a consortium of at least three entities is required.
