Deadline: 17-Oct-2025
The Australian Capital Territory Government has launched its Club Enhancement Program, a grant opportunity aimed at supporting sport and active recreation clubs, district associations, and State Sporting Organisations.
This initiative is designed to help local organisations refine their operations, build capacity, and enhance accessibility across the Canberra community.
Funding can support a wide range of club-focused enhancements. Whether it’s purchasing non-consumable equipment, improving governance structures or planning practices, investing in training for coaches, officials, volunteers, and committees, or strengthening management skills—this program is meant to elevate local clubs and associations.
Eligible applicants include ACT-based sports and active recreation organisations that are incorporated and not-for-profit. Applicants must carry suitable public liability insurance, demonstrate financial accountability, operate within the ACT, and hold valid governance and strategic documentation. The program encourages locally grounded projects, delivered by clubs serving Canberra residents.
Funding amounts range from a minimum of $500 to a maximum of $20,000 per application. While there is flexibility in how funds are used, applicants are encouraged to seek co-investment. Proposals will be evaluated based on their alignment with strategic objectives, potential for community impact, and their effectiveness in building organisational capability.
Interested clubs and associations should ensure their applications demonstrate readiness, relevance, and the potential to uplift community sport through thoughtful and sustainable improvements.
