The Founders Friday Pitch Battle 2.0, powered by CloudPlexo, is a storytelling-driven startup showcase and capacity-building initiative aimed at highlighting Nigeria’s most promising early to mid-stage tech founders. Over five impactful days, the program uncovers innovation from underserved and emerging ecosystems across the country, while amplifying authentic stories, supporting transformation, and helping bold ideas grow.
This edition of the competition offers founders the opportunity to compete for a share of ₦1.5 million in equity-free funding and up to $10,000 in AWS credits. Participants will also benefit from high-quality masterclasses, mentorship, international exposure, and a platform to share their entrepreneurial journey across Africa.
Eligible applicants include early-stage founders with validated ideas who are working on product development or building their MVPs. The competition welcomes tech-driven startups in industries like fintech, healthtech, edtech, e-commerce, and logistics. It targets founders who are ready to raise pre-seed or seed funding and who need mentorship, technical support, or investor connections to grow their businesses.
Ideal candidates are impact-driven entrepreneurs solving real-world challenges in underserved African markets. Startups should show evidence of traction such as growing user bases, revenue generation, partnerships, or product adoption.
The competition is not open to idea-stage founders without a clear execution plan, startups lacking a defined business model or revenue strategy, SMEs or non-scalable businesses, and consulting or agency-based firms without a product-focused approach.
