Deadline: 30-Sep-2025
The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Community Foundation has opened new grant opportunity under the “Including Communities 2025” programme, designed to support grassroots, not‑for‑profit organisations across Hampshire, Portsmouth, Southampton, and the Isle of Wight.
Grants are available for projects that connect people through meaningful community activities, with funding ranging from £1,000 to £10,000 over a 12‑month delivery period planned for January to December 2026.
The initiative focuses on uplifting vulnerable groups facing poverty, discrimination, or isolation by supporting projects that bring people together in shared activities or services led and shaped by community members themselves. Whether existing or newly proposed, the work should reflect the active involvement of local people in its design or delivery. Successful applications may include funding for staff and volunteer costs, activity expenses, small equipment, or a fair portion of organisational overheads.
This call is tailored to community-led groups with annual incomes under £1 million—priority is given to those with incomes below £100,000—and encourages smaller organisations to apply for reasonable sums relative to their financial capacity. Please note that funding won’t support one-to-one services like counselling, large equipment purchases, capital works, or refurbishment.
Decision-making will conclude by the end of November 2025, with grant payments expected in December. With limited funding and a highly competitive pool expected, prospective applicants are encouraged to deeply consider how their work genuinely unites and serves those facing the toughest challenges in their neighbourhood.
