Nominations are now open for the Leeds Compassionate City Awards to celebrate the positive work that individuals, community groups and organisations do every day to make their local communities and the city a great place to live, work, and visit.
Award Categories
- Jo Cox Award
- Health and Well Being Award
- Diversity Project of the Year
- Unsung Hero of the Year
- Community Organisation or Project of the Year
- Sport or Cultural Project of the Year
- Environmental Achievement Award
- Humanitarian Award
- Council Supported Project of the Year
Eligibility Criteria
The criteria for the Compassionate City Awards are:
- Projects or activities must have taken place in the last 12 months.
- Nominees must have had a positive impact on people living within the Leeds boundary.
- If the project or organisation is a council commissioned project or service, or receives 50% or more of its funding from the council then it can only be nominated for the Council Supported Project of the Year award. This does not include MICE or Wellbeing funding.
- Nominees will not be eligible for an award if they have won in the last 2 years.
- Self-nominations will not be accepted.
Please note that submitting multiple nominations for a particular individual/group/organisation will not result in additional benefit. Nominations will be judged on the content and quality of the information provided rather than the quantity of nominations.
