Eligibility Criteria
- This category is open to Irish-owned / indigenous technology companies only (greater than 50% of the company must be Irish-owned).
- Tech 4 Good – Product/ Service Award, Outstanding Academic Achievement of the Year, Tech 4 Good – Community Award, Tech 4 Good – Sustainability Award, Excellence in Talent Development: This category is open to both Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) & Irish-owned / indigenous technology companies.
- Women in Tech Company Initiative: This category is open to both Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) & Irish-owned / indigenous companies.
Award Criteria
- Digital Technology Company of the Year
- The company should show evidence of the following points:
- A strategic vision & strong leadership team
- Sustained financial performance over last 3 years and a finance strategy
- Economic logic of the business
- What vehicles you have used to scale and how have you staged this growth
- How you are establishing a market leadership position
- How you have structured your sales for exceptional growth
- How your company stays on the leading edge of its product or services suite, and what sets your company apart with respect to innovative business practices
- How your company fosters a positive, healthy work environment for its employees, and how your business strategy incorporates employee development.
- The company should show evidence of the following points:
- Emerging Company of the Year
- The company should show evidence of the following points:
- Strategic vision and demonstrated execution
- A clear funding or financing strategy to support its growth plans
- Pursuing a business model which should be highly scalable, i.e. to grow fast
- Sustainable competitive advantage through unique technology or processes and the underpinning IP
- A clear path towards market leadership in their defined market
- Strong sales and business development plan.
- The company should show evidence of the following points:
- Outstanding Achievement in International Growth
- The company should show evidence of the following points:
- Innovative marketing techniques
- Product / Service positioning and pricing
- Demonstrable commercial success or ground-breaking potential in international market sectors.
- The company should show evidence of the following points:
- Technology Innovation of the Year
- The company should show evidence of the following points:
- New products, technologies or innovative approaches to software development
- Demonstrate that innovation can lead to creating new business models
- Significant business impact.
- The company should show evidence of the following points:
- Digital Technology Services Project of the Year
- The company should show evidence of the following points:
- Must show clear benefits for the client in terms of distinct competitive advantage, cost efficiencies, or growth in sales will be demonstrated.
- The company should have established strong processes, project controls, risk management, and governance throughout the life of the project.
- The company should have pre-sales capability that envisions a new future state for the client and an aftersales and support organization to ensure long-term client success.
- The company should show evidence of the following points:
- Tech 4 Good – Product/ Service Award
- The company entering should show evidence of the following points:
- Companies must show the nature of the challenge or situation that the product/ service addresses
- How the technology was applied that supported the changes and improvements
- The impact this product/ service is having on the business and/or those working on the project.
- The company entering should show evidence of the following points:
- Tech 4 Good – Community Award
- The company should show evidence of the following points:
- Companies must show the nature of the challenge or situation that the initiative addresses
- How your technology company has supported changes and improvements
- The impact this initiative is having on the community/ society/ staff.
- The company should show evidence of the following points:
- Tech 4 Good – Sustainability Award
- The company should show evidence of the following points:
- Companies must show the nature of the challenge or situation that the initiative addresses
- How your technology company has supported changes and improvements
- The impact this initiative is having on the target audience(s).
- The company should show evidence of the following points:
- Women in Tech Company Initiative of the Year
- The entry may be centred on company strategies, programmes, initiatives or activities which;
- Attract more girls and women into STEM
- Support young women in STEM Careers
- Enable working conditions which have increased the participation of women in the workforce
- Support the development and advancement of women through the career pipeline
- Foster women leaders within the organisation
- Or have introduced other activities to increase the participation and/or support the development of women in technology.
- Excellence in Talent Development
- The application should outline:
- The overall strategy and approach to staff development
- An example of one specific staff development project and detailing its impact.
