The Tunbridge Wells Borough Council is currently inviting nominations for the 2021 Love Where We Live Awards to celebrate the people who make the borough of Tunbridge Wells a great place to live and work.
They recognise the individuals, groups, businesses and organisations who are dedicated to helping others in the community, benefiting the environment, or accomplishing personal goals.
Categories
With seven categories open for nomination, there is an award for everyone and every group!
- Best Group: Is there a group of people who are the life blood of your community? Do you admire a group’s collective energy, enthusiasm or achievements?
- Charity of the Year: Tell them about a charity that enhances the lives and wellbeing of residents in the Tunbridge Wells borough.
- Sports Achiever of the Year: Through this award they did like to recognise an individual, team or club who has made exceptional progress or made an important contribution to sport locally.
- Ethical Business Award: Do you know or work for an organisation that is putting something back into the community or is committed to having a positive impact on the environment?
- Individual Hero: There are people in the borough who make a vital contribution to their community; are you inspired by someone’s dedication and commitment?
- Young Volunteer of the Year: This award is for that young person you know, aged 24 or under, who gives up their spare time to volunteer, and in doing so, contributes to the welfare of others, their community as a whole or the environment.
- Young Sports Achiever of the Year: Specifically for those aged 16 and under. Do you know a young person, a youth team or a young coach who deserves recognition?
Conditions
- Previous nominees, finalists and winners can be nominated again.
- Nominees can be entered for more than one category.
- Nominations must be for a living person.
- Nominations per person or organisation are unlimited, but each must be submitted on an official entry form.
- Nominations must be for a person or organisation based in the borough of Tunbridge Wells.
- Nominations can be made by any member of the community, whether or not they themselves are based in Tunbridge Wells.
- An individual, group or company can nominate themselves.
- All eligible nominations will be shortlisted, before going to an independent judging panel, whose decision is final.
- They will collect and use your personal data to process nominations for the Love Where We Live awards.
- Nominations can be submitted by any member of the community, including councillors, paid workers and volunteers; however, nominees must not have derived any personal financial gain as a result of their work (not applicable to the Ethical Business Award).
