Call for Proposals for Act to Connect Competition (Ukraine)

The Act to Connect competition is part of the project “3D Project: Development Despite Obstacles. Sustainable Civil Society in the Pandemic and Future”, implemented by the Eastern Europe Foundation with the financial support of the European Union (EU).

The competition aims to encourage the search for innovative digital solutions in response to the social and societal problems caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Successful projects are expected to foster dialogue within communities and with local authorities.

They are looking for solutions that have significant social benefits, increase the efficiency and transparency of government.

Prize Information

UAH 5 million.

Eligibility Criteria

The competition is held on a voluntary basis and is open. Participation in the competition is free. The Organizer of the Contest guarantees that during the collection and further use of the information received from the Participants, it will comply with all provisions of the current legislation of Ukraine on the protection of personal data of the participant.
The participants of the competition are Teams. Teams of developers of civic tech solutions are invited to participate in the competition, which can be formed of public activists, representatives of small and medium business, state and municipal enterprises, local governments and charities, non-governmental organizations, initiative groups, developers, engineers, students. To receive a prize in the absence of registration of a legal entity at the time of application, the Team undertakes to register in case of winning the competition. The organizer will provide consulting support on state registration of legal entities, natural persons-entrepreneurs, and public formations.
Terms of participation in the competition.
Teams must be ready:
- take part in the acceleration program to improve projects (in case of selection);
- share their experience and knowledge to help create a knowledge base that will contribute to the development of CivicTech in Ukraine;
- prove your ability to develop quickly or implement your project/idea;
- confirm the ability to work in the field of CivicTech.
